Enlisted with the Australian Military Forces in March 1942. Occupation – student. Sent to PNG on 25 December 1942.

Served with the AIF during WWII. Sent to PNG Xmas Day 1942, until 13 August 1943 when he returned to Townsville. Worked in military administration until redeployed to PNG in January 1945 as part of Aitape-Wewak campaign. Transferred to NSW for discharge in March 1945. Discharge finalised in May 1945.

No mention of illness or injury.
